Kontoor Internship
Since May 2025 I have been an Innovation and Technical Research Intern at Kontoor Brands (parent company of Wrangler, Lee and Helly Hansen).
During my time here I’ve had the opportunity to develop new apparel concepts, conduct consumer, market and textile research, collaborate with overseas manufacturers and industry partners, and participate in denim processing workshops.
Project Highlight
Prismatix
3 Main Tasks
1. Rebrand “Rainbow Denim” to make it more suitable for the “Music and Entertainment” apparel category.
2. Develop new apparel concepts with Prismatix fabric.
3. Create prototypes with Prismatix Fabric.
Summer Project
Over the summer I explored Kontoor’s Innovation portfolio, synthesized trend insights, and led user and material research to redefine consumer needs and design new creative apparel concepts leveraging both current and emerging innovations.
At the end of summer, I compiled all of my insights and new concepts in an 80+ page document that we were able to print into a booklet. Due to NDA contract, I’m only able to share the research portion of the project, not the new concepts.
